Hi I'm Lawson

Ever find yourself thinking, “Okay… WTF is going on with me?” You're not alone. Navigating the complexities of trauma, attachment, and emotional regulation often leaves you feeling messy, stuck, and completely overwhelmed. I help you navigate these overwhelming feelings and deep roots for real, lasting change.

Who I Work With

I work with teens, adults, and couples who are trying to make sense of the inner chaos—especially when it shows up in relationships. Many of my clients have histories of relational trauma or complex PTSD. Some don’t identify with those terms but know what it’s like to live in survival mode: disconnected, overwhelmed, shut down, or just plain stuck.

If you’ve tried to think your way out of your emotions, or felt like therapy just skimmed the surface, we might be a good fit.

My Approach

Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and deep. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all models, but I do believe in building frameworks that make the mess a little more understandable. A lot of the work I do centers on:

The Triangle – Untangling the loop between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors

The Field – Mapping external systems, environments, and relationships that shaped you

Regulation – Building emotional tools so your nervous system isn’t running the show

Feedback Loops – Learning how to notice, shift, and stay curious about your patterns

We’ll slow down enough to get honest—but not so slow we get stuck in the mud.

A Bit About Me

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 15 years in IT project management. I’ve always been drawn to complex systems—how things connect, where they break, and what helps them run better. Turns out, the same instincts apply to humans.

What I didn’t realize for a long time was that I had been navigating challenging—and often traumatic—experiences without even recognizing them as such. They just felt normal. That’s a big part of what brought me to this work. I don’t want people to feel as lost or alone as I did while trying to figure it all out.

What You Can Expect

You don’t have to have the right words. You don’t have to clean things up. Just show up as you are.

I bring warmth, curiosity, irreverent humor, and deep respect for your process. Our work might include conversation, education, somatic tools, or the occasional metaphor about sloths and tangled headphones. But more than anything, it’s about helping you feel a little more human—and a lot less alone.
